About Katsushika Hokusai
Hokusai (1760–1849) was one of the most prolific and influential artists of the Edo period. Working across a career that spanned over seven decades, he produced an estimated 30,000 works. He famously declared that everything he had produced before the age of 70 was not worth counting — a testament to his relentless pursuit of artistic mastery.
